Background

Pat has been a student of healing food and herbal wisdom for many decades. During the 1990s, she led wild herb walks from Riversong Cabin, her 150-year-old home in rural Grey County. Her 'teaching garden' provided the herbs for her workshops on preparing simple healing tinctures, salves, and teas.

Since that time, Crocker has written 22 cookbooks including The Healing Herbs Cookbook (Robert Rose, still in print), The Juicing Bible (Robert Rose, over 800,000 copies in print, translated into over 10 languages), and her newest book, The Herbalist's Kitchen (Sterling, June 2018). Currently, Pat is writing with her co-author, Ellen Novack,  a revolutionary cookbook/healing guide, Healing Cannabis Edibles (available in 2018). See all of Pat's books here.

Pat is a professional Home Economist (BAA, BEd) and she began her career in food as a high school foods teacher. She founded Crocker International Communications Inc., a niche food public relations company operating in Toronto.
