Pat Crocker is a Home Economist (BAA, Ryerson University), who coined the term ‘Culinary Herbalist’ to describe her unique niche
within the food field. She has spent over two decades growing, photographing, cooking with, learning, writing and teaching about
herbs, the incredible helping plants.
A bestselling and international award-winning author of 10 cookbooks
and 3 herb booklets, Pat is a veteran writer, recipe developer and tester,
who specializes in herbs, herb gardens, food and healthy diets.
Past president of the Ontario herbalists’ Association and both the Toronto and the Ontario Home Economics Association, Pat actively
participates in the Herb Society of America, the International Herb Association, the International Association of Culinary Professionals,
Cuisine Canada, the Ontario Culinary Historians, and the (Toronto) Women’s Culinary Network.
Her solid teaching background–she taught Home Economics/Family Studies at Toronto high schools–and her years as founder/owner
of Toronto Public Relations Agency, Crocker International Communications Inc.honed her expertise in communications.
